As an outgrowth of a discussion on racial healing with race relations expert Dr. Joy DeGruy after a group of us watched the Selma movie together last January, several Placer County Baha'is started a 9-session workshop series called Conversations on Racial Healing. The workshop materials came from the Baha'i-inspired workshops of the Institutes for the Healing of Racism. The workshop series started in June. Baha'is and members of the public are most welcome to participate!

We meet every 2-3 weeks in Rocklin to discuss various aspects of racism in a safe, friendly environment, with the intention of developing friendships and becoming allies of people of color. So far, 15-20 people of different races are participating. Please use the Contact form if you would like to know when our next meeting is scheduled in Rocklin -- just enter Rocklin as the Community name. We also hope to start a new series in January at the Mercy Center Auburn -- stay tuned!
